Chandler Gibbens and Gabrielle Gibson had school record-breaking performances in their respective events to lead the charge for Kansas Track and Field at the Stanford Invitational and the LSU Battle on the Bayou.
The Kansas Track and Field team will be competing at three meets on March 29-30, with the majority of the group headed to the LSU Battle on the Bayou in Baton Rouge, and a group of six distance runners splitting between the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, California and the Mike Fanelli Distance Classic in Hayward, California.
The Kansas Track and Field team opened their outdoor season at UCF for the Black and Gold Invite on March 15-16, where Gabrielle Gibson sent quite the message in breaking the program's 100m hurdle record in her debut, running a 13.07 to shatter the previous record of 13.27 (Ashley Brown, 2007).Β
